In line with our campaign against Other School Fees, the PUP OSR strongly condemns all forms of repression against the students' democratic rights including "FINES" and "PENALTIES" that do not only repress students but also serve as a businesses of institutions. Repression does not exclude repressive policies of pro-admin and anti-student student leaders.

The said fines are for those who will not attend meetings and events launched by their student government and department organizations. This is not entirely surprising since the repressive ROTC program of the government in PUP Mulanay is mandatory for students, as reported.

The President of their USG, their branch-wide student government, has made inappropriate Facebook posts including claims that "education is a privilege and not a right", provocative posts and blatant behavior regarding the said FINES.

SR Anareta have warned the the USG President but the latter insisted and remained with the FINES due to the "USG's autonomy and its own constitution and by-laws."

We stand firm to end any forms of commercialization on education and with our call to junk all other school fees.
